Adam Cotumaccio is the Chief Operating Officer of the American Association of
Advertising Agencies (4As), where he leads the 4As Merger, Acquisition and
Succession Planning team, advising agencies on ownership transitions and growth
strategies. He also oversees the 4As Benefits Division, which insures over 160,000
employees, as well as HR, Finance, IT, and Legal operations. Additionally, he serves
on the Management Committee of Ad-ID, the industry’s standard identifier for
commercial assets.
With more than 30 years of leadership in business growth, corporate strategy, and
M&A, Adam has founded and sold three companies, including The Leverage Group,
an entertainment, sports, and cause marketing agency acquired by WPP/GroupM. His
company was later rebranded as GroupM ESP. At GroupM, he held multiple
leadership roles, including Global COO and Commercial Director of Kinetic
Worldwide, one of the world’s largest Out of Home media agencies, where he led
global expansion and managed commercial operations across the U.S., Europe, and
APAC. Prior to his time at GroupM, Adam spent six years at Deloitte Consulting in
the Retail and Consumer Business Practice, serving some of the largest U.S. retailers.
He holds a B.A. from SUNY Albany and an MBA from NYU Stern, where he delivered
the MBA commencement speech. He is a guest lecturer on Social Impact and
Corporate Social Responsibility at NYU’s School of Professional Studies, where he
speaks on the importance of Social Impact and Corporate Social Responsibility.
