Senior Director of Digital Engagement
Ben Perdue is the Senior Director of Digital Engagement at U.S. Travel Association, where he leads the strategy, execution, and ongoing evolution of the association’s digital platforms. Previously, he was the Director of Digital Experience and Transformation at the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). At NAEYC, Ben led a large-scale technology ecosystem overhaul that included an AMS implementation, a new custom accreditation system, a new marketing platform, and a host of other integrated solutions. With a background in international development and education, his approach to technology implementation and adoption focuses more on the humans that use it than the technology itself. Ben has a Masters Degree in Educational Planning and Economics from University College London and a Bachelors degree from Colorado College.
It’s no secret that moving AMSs is a bear of an undertaking. So many options. So many moving parts. So many invested parties. And when it’s all said and done (if that’s even a real stage), there’s a treasure trove of lessons that never make it out of the messages, meeting notes, or, let’s be realistic, the project manager’s brain.
In this honest conversation, we’re bringing them out into the open so the organizations at any stage of this journey (you, for example) can make more informed choices about product, path, and partner. You’ll hear from your peers at different stages of the process, from fresh selection to long-lived implementation. They’ll get real about what they got right, what blew up in their faces, and what they’d tell their past selves if they could.
